It looks like the otters Kotaro and Hana had a great New Year’s Day party! They chased after mechanical mice, watched a spinning top with great fascination, tried on silly hats, and best of all got munchy snacks! Happy New Year, you two! (via Andrew Y.)

    I can only see the still for now but he does not look too thrilled with his mouse costume. (Unfortunately for him, that just makes him cuter.)

    That house looks very well set up for the otters and kept up. Iā€™d LOVE to be able to have otters. Many years ago, we used to have four ferrets, same animal family. Absolutely adorable otters and Iā€™m jealous. In my dream world, my house would be home to many different kinds of animals.

      A home filled with many different kinds of animals ! Yes! Sigh. I live in Manhattan. The City is very strict about the kinds of animals you can have, understandably so. There are gazillion of us on top of each other. But, still….
