Partially plucked parrot prefers patriarch
In this episode from The Dodo’s “Soulmates” series, a bird rescuer begs her husband to let them keep a stressed-out parrot named Fefe, only to see hubby and the plucky parrot fall adorably in love. (via Andrew Y.)
Oh for heaven’s sake! This is so touching I don’t know what to do with myself. I’m so glad poor Fefe has found a mate/flock. You have to be a moronic thug to abuse a parrot.
Heart breakingly sweet.
Duckie update: although everything is set up here, Duckie is still at the neighbour’s. She is having trouble catching him, and it is stressing all three birds. We have agreed that we will try again tomorrow, and if Duckie is still elusive, in order to not cause more stress, we will leave him where he is. I want my boid back, but I don’t want a completely freaked out trio for we three owners. I can still visit him, and all three get along.
The neighbour offered to buy me another one if Duckie stays, but I pointed out that, if I get sick, she would have four birds on her hands. So we’ll try again tomorrow, and decide from there.
Feathered brats. We love them.
Oh I hope it works out tomorrow!
What you for the duckdate.
nothing like coming back to a comment days later and finding out autocorrect made you look like a boob.
I totally read that as “thank you” until just now, and I assumed “duckdate” was intentional.
I had missed this. I hope that tomorrow is another day and that Duckie comes home.
I want to very gently pet her little head.
I am so glad that poor bird now has a happy home.
Never judge a book by its cover. What a love story for such a tiny soul.
I want to put a sleeve on Fefe so that she can’t self-pluck.
Just glad that she’s now in a loving home that supports her and spoils her.
