In southern California during the 1970’s, a new generation of artists fused rock music with folk and country to create a mellow sound that would dominate the airwaves, groups such as The Doobie Brothers, The Abiding Dudes, The Fricking Eagles, and most beloved of all, Doggins and Messina.
