Mind the Gap, Maru

Not content merely to crawl into enclosed spaces, Maru loves to roll himself into them, particularly the gaps between doors and walls. Since this curious behavior can be difficult to observe, a special clear gap has been set up so that we may see Maru from all angles.

It’s all clear now, Andrew Y.

This may be the single greatest thing Maru does – it deserves the Nobel Prize for Cuteness.

Especially behind the real door at the beginning, when he does that adorable thing with the front paws.

Hana guarding her weirdo brother <3 XD either that or she’s just “I see nothing” XD

I was thinking it’s the latter.

I love the reflections of his little feet on the sides.

I think it’s definitely the latter. “I can’t look at it, just tell me when it’s over…” 😻

One of the cutest videos of Maru ever. He is a cute Master.

    Maru does not disappoint. Ever.

Let’s hear it for Mugumogu’s craft skills. I feel I’ve overlooked them when she makes the tests for them to crawl through or walk along. If she glued the clear plastic together (a skill I observed in a college roommate who made his own aquariums), that’s not all that easy. She’s a bit of a maker. Now, what did “There are no good gaps NOW” mean? She hasn’t moved house. Did she get rid of that door? Does it no longer hold open?

She did move houses awhile ago, so that earlier video was in a different house, pre-Hana.

Thanks. I didn’t realize that. Seems like we’ve been looking at that living room forever. Must have been a pretty-old video with a much younger Maru — but chonky and quirky even then.

Agree!! Mugumoku is a lot of why we get to enjoy Maru’s eccentricities.

I didn’t think it was possible, but that made me love Maru even more. He is both dope and a dope.
