Maru Goes to Jail

It was a day like any other. Maru rested in a box, minding his own business, when Hana tempted him into a life of criminal scampering, which lands him in jail. It is a lonely place. Days pass without even a visit from his lawyer. In the distance he hears a plaintive harmonica wail. All seems hopeless — until Maru remembers his body is 50 percent floof.

I hope he’s learned his lesson, Andrew Y.

I can’t believe Hana is such a bad influence! And such “violent language (?)”!

The little bits of fur floating down after he squeezes his butt through the bars… 😆

The fur floating away is the best part! 😻

I concur. Though Hana looking at him worriedly from atop the cat tree is a close second.

Yes! I also thought she seemed concerned, probably thinking why did you go inside a cage? Hana is cautious.

Truly priceless! As we all know, Maru is the handsomest cat in the whole world but I sometimes forget just how beautiful Hana is. 😍

I originally assumed the bars are there because the stove gets hot, but I guess not. Maybe they’re merely to assure furniture isn’t placed too closely, so air can circulate around the heater? If they were to protect cats, they’d have a top. And closer bars.

Might also be a kid barrier? I’ve wondered too.
