A woman who invited a red squirrel to make a nest in her window got so much more than she bargained for. The mama squirrel soon had babies, and before long the whole family was snuggled up safely inside an impenetrable fortress.

this happened to me when I was little! the mama squirrel chewed her way through the storm window in my parents’ bedroom and built her nest between the two panes of glass. I can still remember my mom waking us up when the babies were born “They’re here! They’re here!” And we got to watch them grow up just inches before our eyes. What a teachable moment!
I’m so envious! I’d give anything to experience something like that. So, so sweet. ❤

I know I shouldn’t but I envy this woman who got to watch this mama squirrel’s nest and her precious babies.

Oh me too! And from the videos narration it seems the squirrel has been living there for three years, so generations of babies have grown up there.
