A mama wild cat and cubs cross a Canadian road
A lucky Canadian worker witnessed a rare sight: A mother lynx leading her five cubs across a deserted stretch of highway. At first, the cubs were too chicken to cross the road, but one by one they followed, even the scared straggler who almost got left behind.
According to The Weather Network, The Canadian lynx ranges across much of the country, but the big cats are so adept at hiding that they are rarely seen. So when Manitoba Hydro worker Shaun Kirchmann spotted the cats peeking from the treeline, he stopped his truck to let them pass — and capture this amazing footage.

Super find, Katie T.
The souped up back ends built for speed!
And snowshoe paws! Very useful in the Great White North!
I’m very ok with lynx being scared of roads.
Me too. But mama looked both ways before she started to cross.
I was afraid for the last kitty… I thought he might be too afraid. But zoom, off it went! Yay!
