I wanna hold a baby bun! Or several even.

I’d gladly wake up an hour or two earlier to take care of a leedle, bebeh bunneh. I did get up an hour early (according to my body time) to help keep my bun buns close to the feeding and cleaning schedule they’re used to since the last clock change. Gradually I’ll adjust their times. I want my hour back 😾

Precious bunbun. I too want that hour back. It seems like the kitties just got adjusted to the time change last fall. They’re kinda slow to adapt.

Hey DebG, do you have recommendations for how to get cats to adjust to the time change?

      • Debg March 8, 2020 / 11:08 am

Yeah, don’t change your clocks! Luv Bunny’s idea might work. Nothing really helps—they want to eat when they want to eat.

        Hugs to Cheshire and Bertie.

P.S. gentle boop on that wee nose.

I wish my eyes were still closed. The time change as usual has me totally confuzzled. Pick a time and let’s just leave it!! Plus it’s raining here so I am so not wanting to do anything.

I’m just proud of myself that I remembered to change the clock on the timer that turns on a light in my bedroom in the morning. That’s usually the one I forget.

I would still like a vanilla-cinnamon bun, please.

I was totally confused by all this talk of altering the clocks…until I remembered that British Summer Time doesn’t start until 29th March. Panic over!

For the first time that I can remember I didn’t have any trouble getting up this morning because of the time change. In fact, I even got to see one of the most beautiful sunrises ever, so that was like icing on the cake. 🌅 ⏰

My sleep schedule gets so messed up on the weekends it doesn’t make much difference to me. I changed my clocks a little before 11 and then got ready for bed, so when I went to bed it was just after midnight as far as I was concerned, which is not particularly late for me to go to bed on a Saturday.

I like your positive attitude! Time changes make me so grumpy.

    Morning. {hugs tiny bunny very gently}
Time change has not affected me yet. Up most of the night coping with hubby’s upset stomach. Having breakfast now, then going back to bed. Good thing we went to church last night.
Have a peaceful and restful Sunday bunday.

Duckie’s wings are clipped. Now the fun begins.

What does that mean? I don’t know anything about taking care of birds.

  11. Duckie 🐥 March 8, 2020 / 9:56 pm

The four longest feathers on each wing have been cut. This is complete painless, and no contact whatsoever is made with her actual wings. The roots of the feathers are still attached to her wings, and will be shed normally next time. She can fly enough to keep from falling, but cannot achieve any real height from a full stop. This allows me to be on the floor or bed with her, interacting, without her taking flight. This way, she can be out of the cage to play. By the time the next round of feathers grow in after moulting, she will trust me, and I can leave the feathers whole, so she can fly.
For those others who don’t know birds, Duckie was not injured or harmed one tiny bit. It doesn’t hurt to cut feathers, any more than it hurts to cut hair. I was extremely careful in how much was trimmed off, as I did NOT want to damage blood vessels. Her feathers were not pulled on in the slightest, nor was she restrained in any harsh manner. I held her myself, stroked her head, and sang her favourite song while the feathers were trimmed. Her heart rate slowed down as soon as the clipping was done. She had my finger in her beak and held on, but did not bite, as she would have in reaction to pain.
I swear to all of you, I would NEVER do anything to hurt that darling little creature. Her feathers will only be trimmed this once, and I know how to trim her nails myself, without restraint. I want her to love and trust me.
