“OK, here’s what you missed while you were in the litter box: The big guy in the sports jersey almost got to his car with the last 12-pack of Charmin Ultra Soft when three old ladies tackled him. And that scuffle over the large bottle of Purell ended when it hit the ground and spilled all over the sidewalk. Now people are fighting over who gets to roll their face in it.”

One thing that has really impressed and amazed me is just how much humor there is in our current situation. If we lose our sense of humor I’m afraid we’ll lose our sense of hope. 😊
I’ll admit to my hopeless moments but humor definitely helps.
I was almost pushed into the street by a #COVIDIOT yesterday, after I’d done everything I could to establish a six-foot distance from him and his family on the sidewalk. And when I pointed out that they could have walked single file six feet away from me, instead of spreading out over the whole sidewalk, the only man in the group told me it was my problem. So I have to say the idea of people actually touching each other, let alone attacking each other, in these circumstances sets off my anxiety. I’m still seeing people spitting on the sidewalk and in tree pits. I think I’ll go back to the links …
This reminds me of something someone posted on facebook yesterday…some guy who is a rugby announcer with nothing to announce now has been posting short videos of him “announcing” everyday life on twitter…two guys kicking a soccer ball in a park, some moms pushing strollers on a sidewalk, people crossing an intersection. They’re pretty funny. (Of course I can’t find it, now.)
Yes! I saw that! Also, to remind you all, it’s National Puppy Day. You’re welcome. (sorry I don’t have an image – I know a few people who are up to that task, however)
Here y’go.
A local radio station has been featuring new and unusual sporting events (like staring contests, racing your 8 year old up the stairs, etc.). Very funny and very creative stuff that people are doing with their kids.
Working at home? Bibi (a Puppy in Her Heart) says remember to stretch!

She’s such a cute li’l scruff!
Thanks, Allein! I think so too, but I have to admit I’m biased. 🙂
Love the motion-blurred tail…
I think so three, R and B’s Mom!
Once a puppy, always a puppy. At least that’s how I see it. 🥰
That blur of waggy tail! That is the definition of adoration. Lucky you Bibi’s mom.
Thanks, Lucy’s Mom and Tara! Once a puppy, indeed. She’s a very enthusiastic tail wagger, and yesterday she jumped up to give me comfort right when I needed it most (I came home and had a cry after that awful man ^ was so hateful to me). I don’t know what I would do without her right now.
BTW, if you are able to live-stream from bird-feeder cams (there are quite a few on YouTube, I am finding that terrifically soothing. Here I am in NYC, looking at and listening to birds eating somewhere in Europe. It makes me realize how extraordinarily lucky I am in the midst of all this fear of and sorrow.
Bibi is so cute <3
“seriously, they’ve never heard of licking themselves?” :D!
Just imagine if it was a box of hand sanitizer bottles.
Tried to buy some for my parents the other day, the price was only $8 but the delivery was $48! Same thing with alcohol wipes for her insulin shots. The box was only $10 but again, delivery was $48,
It’s funny but not funny. We had people taking advantage of the nice weather over the weekend by going for walks on the beach. All fine and well until there were too many people in the parking lots and beaches not following social distancing so they shut down the parking lots. I think some of them have reopened but they’re monitoring and if it starts getting crowded again, they’ll shut them down. Plus I think someone may have already posted this but this meme always cracks me up.

Well, the idiots who flocked to seaside resorts and parks in Britain over the weekend have accomplished something – the PM has just announced a total lockdown, which should have happened at least a week ago. My dad had a hospital appointment for tomorrow afternoon but all non-emergency appointments have been cancelled for three months.
Italian mayors are as mad as hell and they won’t take it any more (warning for language):

Idiots.
Hope your dad is okay.
He’s doing reasonably well for an 86 year old. My big worry is the risk of picking up the virus when I have to do essential shopping and bringing it into the house.
And for all you sports fans out there missing March Madness, my local humane society is doing something called March Meowness. Go to this link https://www.sdhumane.org/ and you can vote for cute doggos and kittys.
That’s awesome!
