Oh, to meet up with friends for brunch. Sigh, hope it happens soon especially if I had a this bunny as a server.
Well, my drive to nowhere yesterday ended up in the Anza Borrego Desert and I took some pictures. It was a beautiful late spring day with lots of sunshine and high temp near 70. Here’s a link to the Flickr album to cheer everyone up: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmMfQeok
After that we had to drive back thru the mountains and there was snow from a few days before. Typical SoCal day, start off near the water, hit the desert and then snow, all in about a 4-5 hour drive.
Great photos, AJ! I love cactus flowers, so bright and delicate. I used to live in southern Arizona and this was my favorite time of year in the desert!

Thanks everyone for your comments. After this is all over, I’m going to spend a whole weekend exploring the park. And more good news, my moonglow poppy had its first blossom today, they’re creamy white instead of the typical orange.
Wow AJ, thanks for the gorgeous pictures! That panorama makes me homesick. The vastness…you just don’t get that in Philadelphia. When I was in college, I had a friend who used to say California is the only place you can surf in the morning and ski in the evening. 😉

Allein, you might enjoy the app Color Collect. I use it to work out color schemes for my dyeing. You load a photo, choose different areas of the photo, and the program tells you the CMYK, RBG, and hex numbers. You can play for hours on it (ask me how I know).
