Dashing dog turns every leaf pile into a dog pile
There’s a dog named Stella who lives the good life in the woods of Maine, where every autumn the leaves arrange themselves into gigantic piles for her to jump into, so deep that there’s often nothing left but a joyously wagging tail. Found by reader Murray C., here’s a com-pile-ation of Stella’s best moments.
Stellaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you rake it Stella will come! Is this heaven? Yes! Right in the backyard!
I have wonderful childhood memories of diving into leaf piles! And the smell of burning leaves until we knew better to bag them.
Thank you, Murray and Mike. So much genuine joy right at the beginning of the week is such a help.
Thank you from me too Murray and Mike. Really really needed it this morning. The bad news has gotten closer to home. I need any and all tools at my disposal to stay strong.
This super excited/happy dog is such good medicine!!
The pure joy expressed by her body language and her face… I love that her people do that just for her. Awesome! 🥰
Her dressed as a butterfly. Ded.
The best jumps are the ones where all that’s visible is a waggy tail. And the butterfly costume. And all of them.
I love labs. They’re the best. As long as you have a big yard and good cardiopulmonary fitness.
Or you want to get good cardio fitness
Oh my land… and not just a blip of a video, three lovely whole minutes of Stella zooming into the leaves! The waggy tail and the butterfly too….
Thanks Murray C. and Mr. Mike! 😉
Ok, here’s some good news.
I took Duckie’s cage into the bedroom, closed the door and opened the cage completely. Duckie rejected the help of my hand and flopped out of the cage by herself, which is counter to training but today I let it go. She flopped her way around the room from bed to table to bookshelf, checking out everything. Then, when she was on the floor, she walked for a bit. Walking forward was a totally new concept for her, since she’s used to going sideways on perches. She found a lamp wire to perch on, and started singing with the budgies on the YouTube video. When she flew to a small box on the bookshelf, I used it to carry her back to her cage. She went in immediately, had a long drink of water, and is now sound asleep in her food dish.
What an adventure for a four inch bird! No freaking out, just a totally new experience.
It sounds like it must have been wonderful for her, and, consequently, for you.
Aww what a wonderful story Duckie x 2. Tx for sharing!
Aww! So sweet!
What does Stella jump into in the summer? Inquiring minds…
A near by lake or mud puddle!
Rake ’em up, Stella! Twist and shout!
