Kind woman hand-raises a lost baby bird
Sometimes life tosses a little challenge in your lap, and you do the best you can to get it right. That’s what happened to the nice lady in this video, who found a lost baby bird, motherless and only hours old. Not knowing what to do, she searched for answers on the Internet, and after becoming an instant bird expert, successfully hand-raised the baby finch, who she named Twerp, until he was old enough to fly away. My eyes are leaking. That is such wonderful story. If I had done what the rescuer/Mom had done I would forever have a hole in my heart for the little bird who flew away.
Nekkid baby birds with their punk rock hairdos…
DUBRAVKAMCVMD, the theoretical hole in your heart would be bird shaped, the right size for the little grateful bird to sit in.
This story is truly truly a blessing. All life is precious and what a fighter!
I feel the same way, DUBRAVKAMCVMD, I’m actually sitting here crying.
fwiw, a mallard duck has decided our garden would make the perfect spot for a nest. At least there will be entertainment during lockdown!
Yea!! Baby duckies, something to look forward to!
😁😁 so precious and helpless. Twerp was lucky to be at the right house to be taken in and cared for.
This was such a sweet story, kudos to the lady who took care of baby Twerp. You never know, he might come back for a visit. A neighbor when I was a kid hand raised some baby woodpeckers and every summer one called Woody would come back and hang around her yard. And I know how much work feeding baby birds can be. Same neighbor had to be out of the house one time and somehow, don’t remember the particulars, I ended up with bird sitting and feeding duties. Like the lady in the video said, you feed every 15 minutes or every hour around the clock. Baby birdies even went with me to school where I was a hit in my science class. Instead of Mary had a little lamb, AJ had a brood of birdies.
An amazing story. I hope Twerp comes back to yell at her again.
I’m not crying. 😰😰😰 What a sweet lady!! One of the most positive things I’ll take away from this wretched time is just how kind and generous most people are. This is one more example of that. And I’m still not crying! 😰😰😰❤
