And Now, the Plantyflutesizer

The Instagram account of artist Bichopalo showcases his peculiar passion for merging the electronic, mechanical, and organic into one-of-a-kind musical masterpieces, including his latest, the Plantyflutesizer. It may not have the range of the calliopa-saxi-via-trumpa-rimba-clara-bassa-trombaphone, but it does have a cute surprise lurking inside. (via Allein S.)

    Wow. Jaw on the floor.
There is so much to look at here! Including kyoot widdle boydies…

Oh my goodness. Amazing. And to think about how little I got done during quarantine.
The wee birbs! Pico and Verdi. 😁

Wow, neat sounding but strange looking. At first, I wasn’t sure if the boirdees were real. One has to have a very different functioning brain than I do, to first think of something like this and then the talent to build it. Plus a lot of time and patience.

Wow is right. If I had that in my home, I’d never get anything else done. I’d sit and stare at it for hours. The wee boydies are the icing on the cake.

I was not sure what to expect with this one, Mike, especially since I did not notice the “L” in planty. I could not conceive of any cute surprises in a ‘pantyflutesizer’.
This is worse than the banana bandanas!

Great minds misread alike! I was half expecting to see repurposed underwear transformed into a musical instrument. And while we’re on the subject of misreading, my brain insists on telling me that the pandemic is caused by Coriolanus…

      • Emsthemonster April 24, 2020 / 4:31 pm

It totally makes sense : Corvid 19 is caused by Coriolanus!

        • ^oo^ April 24, 2020 / 9:21 pm

How do you avoid getting Coriolanus? It sounds like something that bites you in the behinder.

            I’m dying!

Coriolanus’ famous line on banishing himself from Rome: “There is a world elsewhere”. Looks like he found it…Another great line, “My memory is tired”, applies to everyone in quarantine who can’t remember what day it is.

Mesmerizing. Like Luv Bunny, I couldn’t tell if the birdees were real.

This would be great for turning my house plants to face the sun.

I’ve watched this thing so many times since I first saw it. I wasn’t sure I was seeing a birdy at first, either, then I realized there were two! The music is relaxing; I wish it was longer.

    @Duckie: 😂

This person is a genius. And the boirds!!!! Especially the little dinosaur looking one. When it said look for a surprise, I wasn’t sure what to expect but it wasn’t them peeking out of their hole.

It’s like a Myst puzzle that plays variations of the Dire Dire Docks music from Mario 64. Cool as heck.

Before I scrolled down, I was sure that “plantyflutesizer” was another one of Mike’s genius word creations. And, yes, what adorable birdies!

Astounding! And such sweet boidie helpers!

  12. Faye April 24, 2020 / 4:21 pm

I read that as Pantyflutesizer. But I was far from disappointed.

    • ^oo^ April 24, 2020 / 9:24 pm

With all this staying at home and eating, I suppose I will need to consult the Pantyflutesizer before I order new pantyflutes.

      • Faye April 24, 2020 / 10:16 pm

Been there, done that about every ten pounds or more!

  13. Julie April 25, 2020 / 8:27 am

    WOW!

In a “Stefon from SNL” voice: This post has everything! Plants mistaken for underwear…Flute sounds coming from baby tambourines…Birds for no reason…You’ll want to listen to this forever!
