Time for a sweet treat as sender-inner Courtney B. shares a heartwarming picture and story to remind us all that in stressful times, a cuddle makes everything OK:
I wanted to share this adorable photo I captured late last week. We are fostering a dog for the first time since fostering and adopting our own dog last summer. We were waiting for our dog to get a bit older and also for a foster situation that would work well for all of us. We are proud foster parents through the Denver Dumb Friends League.
In the photo you will see our dog, Bindie (black & white) being lovingly spooned on the couch by our foster dog, Amelia. Amelia does in fact have an owner, but is what’s called a “Pet Assist” foster where her owner may be between homes or in some other situation where they couldn’t have Amelia for a period of time. I can only imagine how hard it must be to hand over your dog to someone else, even temporarily, but I think she and Bindie are helping each other through this tough time just fine!
These two are too sweet.
Courtney B. thanks for sharing this beautiful story with us. You opened your home to a friend in need and I’m sure Amelia and her human family are grateful for your generosity. That Amelia feels comfortable enough to curl up in your home speaks volumes about the love and care she is receiving. It really warms my heart to see this.
What Jendeyan said. Just beautiful on so many levels. Hope Amelia’s family can be reunited with her soon, but for now, she’s landed on her paws.
I wasn’t prepared to cook onions today.
GROUP HUG EVERYONE!! SQUEEEZE
But remember it can only be virtual right now or waving arms from 6 feet away!
This is just adorable but I need to ask how does Bindie feel about the whole situation? Don’t mind me I’m tired and cranky after a cross-country flight and the last segment we were seated across the aisle from a family with 4! small children and one or more was not happy at any particular time. I usually can deal with kids but for some reason these ones just got on my last nerve.
Bindie has made us very proud and is being the most excellent foster host. We knew that it may not work out and would have returned Amelia to find another foster family if Bindie wasn’t having it. Bindie has done her share of using Amelia as a pillow, so it’s been very reciprocal. <3
So glad to hear! They looks so comfy snuggling together too.
This is SO CUTE!! and especially so bc of the back story.
Thanks for sharing!
