Their laughter is contagious. Foxes are just being foxes. It’s serendipity that the sound signals to humans as laughing. The sound and behavior are obviously showing pleasure though.

To me the most unmistakable animal signal is a dogs wagging tail.

Sounds similar to “gekkering” (about 1:12 into this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6NuhlibHsM&list=FLtsn4-ghIHFWKLmctL4L86g&index=29&t=15s )

We live in the woods and I heard this sound one night and saw just the silhouette of two…somethings…running through our back yard. I had no idea what they were until someone suggested foxes and I found this video!

  Thanks!Now I will know those sounds if I hear them.There are foxes around sometimes in some of the places I go.
