Weekend Open Thread

Blessings upon thee, fellow Cutetropolitans. Today we are graced with the divine presence of Hamster, or “Beatific Hamster” in the words of sender-inner Tracy R. Hamster has granted us an audience to reveal the answers to Life’s mysteries.

It’s tuna. Why don’t you know this already?

As I enter Tracy’s house and see this pretty cat, I ask her, “What do you call him/her?” She replies, “Hamster.” I’m thinking, “Am I confused, I know that’s a cat.” Okay, I’ll go along and tell her that her Hamster is pretty.

Of course it’s tuna, the answer is always tuna. Very pretty (or handsome) kitty and love the markings. Have a safe 4th to all the Americans on here.

Lily agrees with tuna as the answer of Life, the Universe and Everything!

Big news at Chez Lily… we have babies! (Passes out candy cigars.) Lily is very attentive as you might well imagine! They hatched Tuesday on my front porch.

Congrats, that’s so amazing!!! I’m so happy for you I could plotz. It’s always great having babies around.

Mama is not only a great hunter, but a Grand Master of Stink-eye!

If this photograph was an oil painting it could be the portrait a Queen Mother.

I thought it was 42…I’m confuzzed.

Oh well, the world has gone crazy and we just have to accept it.

    • Faye July 4, 2020 / 11:05 am

      Doggos!

    • Dana July 4, 2020 / 11:59 am

Awwwww. Astronaut and doggos are clearly very happy. And, that gent is also a candidate for the men of Cutropolis.

      • Debg July 4, 2020 / 2:14 pm

        Yes and yes.

          “Dogs in SPAAAACE!”

    • Dulcie July 4, 2020 / 3:46 pm

      Allein:
I guess its “42…so long and thanks for all the tuna!”

  5. Faye July 4, 2020 / 11:07 am

I’m allergic to tuna but I would still listen to Hamster’s wisdom. A true beauty.

  6. Duckie 🐥 July 4, 2020 / 11:57 am

Good morning, Hamster! I see nothing wrong in your name. But then I have a budgie named Duckie, so I may already be a convert.
Speaking of Duckie, I watched a video of Tedybear the porcupine yesterday, and Duckie started chirping at his sounds.
Coping with another possible flare up, but at least we know what’s happening this time.
Potentially huge work related week coming up. Hubby may be changing jobs, and we are taking action against his current employer. Legal, safety, health and financial problems all at his workplace.
Off to restock the pantry. Have a great weekend all, and happy 4th to our American peeps,

Whelp, I’m done for, the day… that graspy little hand! That boopable little nose! 💕💕

        The definition of “Ehn!”

    • Debg July 4, 2020 / 2:13 pm

I completely agree with Jan. Plus mom’s fur looks so thick and soft.

  8. Debg July 4, 2020 / 2:16 pm

    Beautiful Hamster cat!

Taking a break from painting, which means sitting on an old towel on my couch because I’m a messy messy painter. I don’t even know what day it is, except for the Caturday headline. So much work on the house, and every project has a million steps. Fortunately, there’s some light at the end of the tunnel.

    Stay safe, everybody.

  9. Emsthemonster July 4, 2020 / 3:18 pm

    Hamster is indeed beautiful!

Finally we have an evening here without a thunderstorm and rain. I cannot even remember any other summer when I had green grass in the yard without watering it.

I love the snake plushie in the picture or is it just some cable protection against curious kitties?

    • kar July 4, 2020 / 10:57 pm

i Think that it protects the wall/paint from the chair when someone stands up.

      • Tracy r. July 5, 2020 / 9:04 pm

There’s actually a draft there, so my husband got it to stop the draft. But the Hamster was like,
“Wow, thanks for this toy, I shall eat it!”😊

  10. Dulcie July 4, 2020 / 3:52 pm

Happy July 4th to all American peeps!

(Sorry, I have to put the Canadian flag as there’s no beaver emoji. A beaver and an eagle can be buds right? And sorry again, that I already mentioned this in the beaver post of July 2nd!! 😁)

  11. murkle46 July 4, 2020 / 5:18 pm

    Not cute,but remarkable.

    • Dulcie July 4, 2020 / 5:24 pm

      Absolutely remarkable Murkle!

    • murkle46 July 4, 2020 / 5:24 pm

I kind of feel bad for the fish:(

    • dubravkamcvmd July 4, 2020 / 6:40 pm

Fishing??? Wow! Is that a crow?

    • Faye July 4, 2020 / 10:13 pm

      Took use!

  12. allein 🐾 July 4, 2020 / 9:13 pm

Olive and Mabel, behind the scenes.

    It’s not over yet…

    • Faye July 4, 2020 / 10:19 pm

      Haha haha haha!

    • dubravkamcvmd July 5, 2020 / 7:58 am

I, for one, would definitely want to know more about Mabel’s personal life. Well, Olive’s too.
