Dogs and door stops: A compilation
If you have a dog, and your home has doors, then you have two of the most essential things in life: 1. A convenient way to move from room to room without smashing through walls like the Kool-Aid Man, and 2. A springy door stop to keep your dog amused for hours, like the playful pups in this compilation video found by reader Maloron.
Some of the doggies were all bark and no boing!
I had no idea springy doorstops were such formidable opponents!
I’ve never had a springy doorstop. I’ll have to get one if I ever get a dog. Just to see what happens.
At least one of those doggies had chewed the rubber tip off the stop (at least that seems likely to be what happened to it), which means it’s not much of a stop any more. If he swallowed it, I hope that this too shall pass.
I’m the one who sent this in as I had Persian kitties play with the couple of door stops like this we had in our house when I raised them. A friend who raises German Shepherds also sent me a video she took of 2 of her pups at the vet’s office who did the same thing when they were there. I get videos of parents whose little kids have fun with them also. So, I guess anything YOUNG finds them fascinating. I also saw that one of the white tips was missing. The one I have in my senior living apartment we bought and it’s a magnetic closure so there aren’t any ‘toys’ with it.
