Last night I went to my parents’ for dinner and when I was about to open the door to leave I saw a smallish cat dart down the porch steps. He stopped at the bottom of the steps and just looked at us. My mom decided to give him Stars’s food that she didn’t eat. When she opened the door the cat retreated to the bushes in front of the house and watched her put the bowl down on the walkway. I went to my car and my mom went back in the house and then he came out and ate all the food, then went halfway up the steps, looking at her in the doorway. Saying thank you or hoping for more..? He went up on the porch for a minute but then left.
I hope he comes back and your parents adopt.
That’s how we got our first cat…

As for nosy neighbours, I have just sent my stalker neighbour where the sun won’t shine.
He knows now that I won’t go to my yard or garden if I can see him nearby, so he usually hides behind a bush or something. Today he caught me off-guard in the garden and started making hints that I was too fat and we should go running together and he could help me lose weight. I am about 125 lbs and tbh I don’t find this weight tragic. Yes, I could lose some but it is none of his business, so the Ems bomb pretty much exploded and I wasn’t nice. Now he will be after me to apologise…
When I yelled at him in the garden I went back to the house and a few minutes later I heard him eavesdropping from his kitchen the window of which opens to my yard. So I called out to Marci to come to the garden with me so nosy neighbour quickly pranced to the garden I think he is still waiting for me there 🙂
That sounds a little scary. You seem to feel he’s harmless? Just a creep?
He is totally harmless, he is just very annoying. All he would like is to talk to someone and get some attention. He is very lonely both at his marriage and his job. In a sense I feel sorry for him, but this is not the right way to get someone’s attention.
