Relax, will ya? Your plant is going to be just fine. It so happens that I’m an expert on the chromium or gymnasium or whatever the heck this plant is called, and I know for a fact that it requires a lot of warmth and shade, both of which I am providing at this moment.
Beautiful view, Andrew Y.
Mulch.
Clearly this cat has a green thumb.
Thumb?
Green bum?
Crushing My Chrysanthemum is my new rock band name. Thanks Mike. 😍
Hey Kitty, I happen to be in need of a lot of warmth and shade! (I also have some tuna)
Maybe you can be like these meerkats and take shade in the BBC camera man’s shadow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drzq1x0mqjo
It’s lovely to see free animals who view us as totally safe.
Cute cameraman, so great idea 🙂 I will ask him first though 🙂
Kitty is totally blissed out.
Exactly what I was about to say! Sure that this isn’t a catnip plant and not chrysathemums?? Easy mistake, they both start with C, lol.
Good crop of cat tails this year. Never seen this striped variety before
Have I told this story before? My mom and a family friend (illegally) harvested cattails in Minnesota, and were caught by the DNR. However the officer didn’t have his codebook with him, so he let them go (complete with cattails). When the family friend died, my mom called the florist and asked them to put together a bouquet with cattails for the funeral, as kind of an inside joke. She specifically asked the non-native English speaking clerk if she knew what cattails were, and she assured my mom she did. But by gosh, if they didn’t put together a bouquet of flowers interspersed with LAMINATED PICTURES OF CATS’ TAILS to be displayed prominently at the funeral – along with a card and my family’s name on it!
If you did tell it before, I missed it. What a great story!
That is fantastic. If you have photos, please share! I don’t remember this story.
I’m looking into it, DebG! This happened several years ago, and my mom will tell me the whole complicated story on Skype on Friday. Stay tuned!
I wonder if someone ever explained this to the florist.
Wow. Just wow.
oh. my. goodness. I am cracking up over here! That’s a story that can’t be made up! Thanks for telling it (again?) 😍
My mom calls them “punks.” I wonder what the florist would have done with that request…
That makes for an interesting mental image, Allein! We called the “unscented incense sticks” used to set off fireworks “punks”, so I definitely see the resemblence!
Great story, I really needed the laugh this morning.
