We learned early on, buns can persistently try to get around barriers. With ours, we used to make a game of it with boxes, blankets and pillows, placed around chairs, beds, etc…. When a bun got through, it would turn around and reverse the process. We had a portable fencing up separating our neutered male bun from our un-spayed female. She hopped over it to go after him. We knew then it was time to get her spayed.
In the video above, just move the tree stumps way from the barrier- maybe will deter the cute, loppy eared bun.

Seems this was meant to be more obstacle course than deterrant…

Hooman is an enabler. Puts wooden “stairs” near partition and then films the escape. Notice the removal of clips and a cushion on the other side. Win win for everyone, bun bun gets freedom and we get a cute video. And love bunny’s coloring, looks like a chocolate dipped caramel. Mmm, that reminds me to go rummage in kitchen for my cinnamon cream and pumpkin spice caramels. Ahhhh, de.lish.us.

      Kitifruit?

I don’t think the middle kiwi appreciates the joke.

    Such a beautifully colored bun!
Yep. Buns will try to jump over anything if they know the landing on the other side. I’m assuming that’s why the towel was up, to block his/her sight. But now that he/ she KNOWS…

My bun was hysterical last night! I had put aside an amazon box with the blow-up, see-thru shipping padding inside. He jumped in and procceded to spend about 15 mins getting the padding into his mouth, like a bow. He looked so funny!😂 Then he spent about 5 mins trying to get out of the box with his prize. (I’m assuming the prize blocked his sight) He finally made it out then ran around with the padding sicking out the sides of his mouth! He can be a real nut sometimes! 🐰

Oh yes, sometimes they can be real nuts and that’s one of the many reasons we love our bun buns.
