It’s another Caturday, and our visitor today is a fashionable fellow named Mr. Gray, who knows the importance of accessorizing. As sender-inner Julie W. explains:
This is our no-longer-feral cat Mr. Gray, rocking his bird collar. Looks ridiculous but reduces his bird kills from daily to monthly or less, and highly recommended for entertainment value too.
He actually seems to like the attention it gets him, and seems to view it as a status symbol. And it has reflective piping for night visibility!
I’m agog that Mr. Gray likes his collar. That is amazingly lucky. He is beautiful.
Mr Gray is a lovely boy. With pink toebeans!
I saw this yesterday and now I want to be the tennis ball god.
tennis ball god
That is so wonderful!
It is, indeed, the BEST.
Few deeds are as noble as anonymous acts of kindness.
Oh, Allein, that’s the funniest story! I love it! I’d be laughing my arse off if I got to witness that.
What a great way to start a weekend – very handsome Mr. Gray and the tennis ball god story. The collar makes him look very dapper and my new life goal is to live in an apartment next to a tennis court so I can secretly throw balls to doggos.
Mr. Gray’s toebeans are terribly tempting (to tickle).
This penguin has something to say…(I’m not sure what, though; I don’t speak penguin.)
Wow that’s cute! Baby is very emphatic about what s/he’s trying to communicate. You’re on a roll today Allein.
I just got that one from CNN’s The Good Stuff newsletter from this morning..
Mr. Grey is so handsome! I don’t know that I could get Lily to wear one of those though!
Extra rainy this week, 3.3 inches over the last three days! Lily doesn’t care as long as there’s warm laundry to nap in…
It’s the sheep sheets!
I need to do laundry but I don’t have any fuzzies to sleep in it.
Still lovin’ the sheep sheets! They’re just as comfy for people as cats!
I’ll take some of that rain. We are in severe drought conditions here in eastern Massachusetts. Struggling to keep my perennials and shrubs alive with hand watering. Hasn’t rained at all for 3 weeks now, and the rainfall has been paltry since the spring. This is unusual for us!
Doing another dance to the rain gods.
Feeling very end-of-the-worl-ish today. Family members either very sick, or causing relationship schisms. One actually passed away yesterday, leaving a divide that can never be crossed now.
Dark and rainy outside. Would love to spend the day cuddled up with kitties in sheep sheets. But duty calls.
Please, somebody out there have a good day.
I’m so sorry, Duckie. I know it’s not much but sending virtual hugs.
Here’s a good thing: I have a package coming via USPS and it shipped a couple days ago, said expected delivery Monday, and I just checked and it’s “out for delivery” today. It went straight from Illinois to Newark. (The last USPS package I got went from Minnesota to Texas to NJ and arrived a whole week late.)
I’m sorry Duckie. Family strife and loss is intense and hard to navigate.
I’m so sorry, Duckie. Sending virtual hugs, and Bibi adds puppy kisses.
Duckie I’m so sorry.
I hope that you are able to find some peace and comfort amidst all of this
Mr. Gray is so handsome and looks so content. The collar is really something!
Allein, that story just made my day. Love it.
Duckie – sending you lots of hugs. ❤️❤️❤️
Had a better week than last week, in spite of yet another crazy news cycle. Had a long chat with good friend this morning, traded watermelon pickles for a lot of special yarn yesterday (DebG four skeins of Habu textiles 100% linen!) and started knitting bats for my niece and nephew for Halloween who are going to be “the weather.” One will wear a white hat (the cloud) which will have blue felt rain drops hanging from it and the other will be the rainbow. I love it. No trick-or-treating, but they will do a scavenger hunt in Gramma and Grampa’s back yard.
That sounds like a lovely Halloween.
in case anyone else has an out of control birder….https://www.birdsbesafe.com/
not in any way affiliated, just like to have our cat outside and not kill tons of birds. it really isn’t that big of a deal, very much like a mane on a floofy cat.
thanks for posting our Mr. Gray and (earlier) ladybug, Mike!
Its like a banana biting back.
Look at it’s face.I think it just wants a cuddle.
Looks like a happy snek.
It is a real cutie.
For a few seconds I thought it was one of those ‘banana for scale’ pics.
