In the beginning there was Lady, and she was alone. And Cat saw she was alone and was displeased. And Cat said, I shall make a creature in my image as a companion, to play with Lady and walk in front of her and trip her and claw her nice sofa and knock her things off the dresser and hork all over her expensive rug. Dulcie and FKA you might be having a new neighbor in Canada shortly. I’m trying very hard not to hyperventilate when reading the news but the only thing that is keeping me sane right now is the Canadian passport sitting in my drawer. I keep saying well the country has been through worse – Civil War, Civil Rights – and we’ve come through ok but then the other part of my brain goes, “Oh no, this is way worse”. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Oh my goodness thanks EMS! I didn’t miss a day of Cute but I have to admit that I was in a bit of a slump and posting seemed beyond me for a long while.
I’ve retreated even further into my recluse cave. Now that I’ve eaten all the Halloween candy (no trick-or-treaters) in my house, I have to find something healthy for bingeing. Yarn making is the only thing keeping me sane. And it’s likely to not be over tomorrow–could drag out for weeks.
I plan to watch The Shows Must Go On on youtube (Being Shakespeare, I think is this week). I just can’t watch the election madness.
I came in to work this morning to find a Halloween cookie on my desk (I worked from home on Friday; I guess they passed them out then), along with an anniversary card and a birthday card signed by the new guy in charge of our building (my 19-year work anniversary was last week). So I will be having cookie for dessert at lunch today.
Congrats on your anniversary! I envy your cookie, though I must turn to fruit-based sweets now. The Halloween candy really was a big mistake.
