Archaeologists have recently discovered a long-lost splinter Aztec tribe who worshipped the cat god Whapzicotl, who brought light to the world by batting the sun across the sky each day.
That explains the jingling sound I keep hearing, Sharon H.

Most excellent!
Brilliant in so many ways.
Hover text = desperately needed laugh
Agreed!!! and better than under the fridge. The sun would never come up if it had to retrieved from under the fridge.
Doesn’t that happen each time you open the fridge door????
Yeah, but does that mean that the sun sets if you close the door? Can you open it to make sure? Please?
This makes me want to get a cat so I can name it Whapzicotl.
Hey, I’ll believe that!! It’s not any worse than some of the creation/deity stories that have been floating around since forever. Let’s see, Romulous and Remus, Maui’s Hook, etc. And I love the name Whapzicotl. Or maybe Whatzimacotl would be good too?
I’ll believe this!! Hey, can’t be any different than some of the other origin stories out there – can we say Remus & Romulous, Maui with his hook, etc. Loving the name, too. Maybe his sister Whatizmacotl is also a goddess?
