One morning, as Doris sat in bed with her favorite tennis ball, a new tennis ball appeared in a pool of light. “Because you are pure of heart,” said a heavenly voice, “you shall possess the Blessed Tennis Ball, which you will always catch and never drop.”
Doris thought about this and asked “Well, where’s the challenge in that? Half the thrill of catching the ball is knowing you might miss it! I’ll stick with my tennis ball, thanks.”
