Other way around in my experience.
Oh yes I embarrassed my mom plenty of times as a little girl but it was her own fault. I would sometimes not answer when people asked me what I thought of something, like a dress or the colour of their new kitchen and she would insist I answer.
She regretted it every time LOL!
