I, too, have an abyss in my home that goes “meow”. Sometimes the abyss disappears into a black hole.
Iām trying to wrap my mind around that concept. Perhaps it would be easier if I just embrace the abyss.
Or allow the abyss to embrace me.

And that Nietzsche… little know fact about him and his assimilation of fondness of cats and philosophy.
Sort of like William Burroughs: Except for him it was cats and smack.
Seriously, the only book of his I was ever able to finish was the one on all of the cats that he loved.

Sometimes you need an abyss to fill your life with love.
That made my eyes cross.
My own little abyss, feral cat Scorpius, seems to be glad I’m back in the basement WAH now that the staycation is over. When I go down in the morning, he’s in his favorite windowsill and happily accepts scritchies. He gets them until he reaches YISS stage, and/or bites at my hand with what I think is love. I feared getting the cold shoulder upon my return!
