I don’t know why I can’t seem to concentrate. I’ll start on a task, and then that task leads to some other task, and that task leads to three completely unrelated tasks, and then if I try to get back to the main task the whole thing starts over again. It’s like my mind is branching out in every direction.

That is so me since lockdown, I can’t even concentrate long enough to watch a movie all the way through!
If only he could leaf the house…
🤣
It took me a moment, but then I twigged.
Well played, R&B’s Mom!
Is it the tea interval yet?
Join the club Georgiana! I just spent 20 minutes roaming the house trying to find my phone. And yesterday, I left the paper towels in the fridge after cleaning up a spill. I usually say my mind has gone on walk abouts when that happens. And this describes my thought process on most days.
Yes, yes,yes!
That’s it exactly!
😝Perfect!
Things I’ve absent-mindedly put in the fridge:
WD40
Bleach
Sunglasses
Between ADHD and rum, I’m grateful when Monday morning doesn’t start with a scavenger hunt.
Are you sure you’re not Captain Jack Sparrow??
Yup.
Oh what a great shot! Love it!
Mike’s text reminds me of an old joke where the granddaughter admonishes her grandmother about the risks she takes at her age. “Grandma, don’t you worry about the hereafter”? Grandma says “yes dear, everyday. I go into a room and wonder – what am I hereafter??”
A beautiful cat and a beautiful picture.
This cat, and all your comments, are collectively my spirit animal. Two huge projects going on at work, and I didn’t realize they had the same deadline until it was too late. Think of me kindly when you hear of my passing, please.
DEBG, that’s terrible – and inhumane. Any wiggle room at all???
I have laughed so hard at the comments – I thought it was just me putting things in odd places, finding them later and thinking wtf???? I like to blame it on hubby but he’s only partly to blame.
I’ll get everything done on time, and close to right. I made everybody pinkie swear that we wouldn’t do this again.
Usually I’m not too bad but today I’m fighting a sinus migraine headache so my brain has decided to take the day off. Plus our new roommate sometimes doesn’t know where stuff goes when he unloads the dishwasher so I never know where things will show up. I’ll open a cabinet or drawer, see something and go “Huh, so that’s where that went to”, then I’ll just move it back to where it’s “supposed” to go. It’s like a never-ending treasure hunt, lol.
And poor you DebG, hope it all works out. I’ve been there, done that and somehow you get through it. I remember I threatened one boss that I’d quit if she added one more special event to the calendar. I still don’t know how I survived that month.
Yeah, it’s an ongoing problem. But my bosses are great and supportive. Just have to keep on chugging. It’s better than last fall, when I had to make 22 videos in 3 weeks!
Thanks for the support, everybody. And the reminder that I’m not the only one with a cat tree brain!
AJ, I hope your sinus headache clears up. They’re the best (worst?) for causing brain fog.
I hope you will be able to have a few days off/big rest after all these projects.
Of all the threads in all the world, this is the one I relate to the most. Multitasking, ADHD, why is the rum gone, puns, goats, overlapping deadlines, and “I know I came into this room for a reason.” It’s almost like y’all can see into the window of my mind!
Personally I’m in mentalpause.
