I love Ava and her blueberry.
Me, too.
Remember Sunny, the dog that loved his brick?

I’m choked up over that dog. And her blueberry.
Blueberries are my favorite fruit—but my bunny and I are addicted to eating them!
Ava is gorgeous! Positively ethereal. Those eyes!
I love the Suez ship parody. Never has so much been expected of two men and a small bulldozer.
I want to know why news outlets are calling the ship the Ever Given, when the ship itself is clearly called the Evergreen. Also why they didn’t think of dachshunds sooner.
Evergreen is the company. They paint their name on the side of all their ships. Meanwhile the names of all the ships are in the form Ever G______.
Thanks, BFB! That clears up one mystery. 🙂
Welcome. I’ve been following that dumb boat like a hawk. The situation. The cost. The obscene fan art. Everything about the situation has been capitalist tragecomedy of the highest order.
Because they didn’t think of doxies. I’m so glad Crusoe and his buddy saved the world!
You got that right BFB.
But perhaps it is fitting. This seems to be the era of the tragecomedy.
Can’t wait for what else we can dredge up. Well, yes, I can wait but it feels inevitable.
Freddy the cat, relaxing like he owns the place! Whatcha gonna do when it sells, eh? Everything about that story is so, well, British.
My own Fred kitty would never do that (because he’s too scared to go outside, even if I allowed it).
Crusoe and his pal cracked me up. I think they may have been more help than some of the other solutions floated (yeah, yeah, pun intended!! I’ll be here all week.).
And if I saw bunnies walking on their back legs, I would seriously wonder what the heck was in my coffee that morning. Kinda freaky but very interesting how nature adapts to challenging circumstances. I’m in love with Ava and her blueberry. When I first read the headline, I was like uh oh, after a few days those berries must be uhm, not so fresh. I was imagining a house with all these stale blueberries stashed everywhere.
When Stars and Stripes were little, they liked to play “pea soccer” and eventually would usually eat them. Usually. One day my mom moved a wicker box that sits near the basement door and there were a bunch of lost dried peas under it.
LOL. Reminds me of a Jeff Foxworthy skit where he talked about GI Joe figures and how the cat would end up batting them under the stove. He said when they moved the stove years later, there was like a whole platoon of them.
I, too, was imagining there would be molded blueberries hiding someplace!
The bunnies not being able to hop is…just…wrong!
Love the mother cat taking her sick kittens to the human clinic, what a good mommy!
If anyone you know needs convincing about adopting a shelter dog, just send them the story of Tater the Bagels (Beagle/Bassett Hound Mix) who saved the life of his human and her two cats!
Yes and YES. Tater is the goodest boy.
