Vaccine therapy dogs, baby orangutan, cute images you NEED to see, and it’s Unicorn Day!

And finally: Happy Unicorn Day
Until we find an actual unicorn, Teddy the Shetland will have to do. (Suggested by Andrew Y.)
Confession: when my hair is wet, I love to make a fish fin atop my head. Now I want to do a unicorn too, but I don’t have enough hair! Teddy is magical.
Hurrah for therapy dogs and vaccinations! One of my fave knitting designers, Anna Hrachovec, just released a free pattern for Jabby, a knitted syringe. She’s been gifting them to healthcare workers. I should make a few before I get my second jab at the end of the month.
“Jabby” 😁🤣
OMG! It’s Bruno!
When I was 9 years old we lived in the country surrounded by farms and my dog Duke was shot by someone who mistook him for another dog who was causing trouble with the livestock. Of course I was not told this until many years later, at the time I was told he got hit by a car. To console me our neighbour “gave” me a newborn calf that I could come and take care of and he looked exactly like this one.
I’m glad you got Bruno after losing Duke.
And that calf stole my heart!
I refuse to believe that Teddy is not actually a magical unicorn.
Now I hope there’s a dog there whenever I manage to get a vaccine. My brother sent me a message yesterday that he got an appointment down at Rowan University (which is about a 2 hour drive, but he went to school there so he knows the area) and if I could get one in the same time frame he’d drive us. Except it’s on the one day next week that I actually have to be in the office. (I looked at the website, anyway, and I probably could get an appointment, if I could go that day. Boo.)
Allein, that’s what sick days are for!
We have auditors coming that day so I need to be there. Otherwise I would take a personal day.
You could always do what I do: kill and eat the auditors
BFB – I love your method!! We go through TWO audits a year at the university so I’m with you on how to deal with them.
But I’d still have to go there on Wednesday to do that… easier just to count stuff and run reports.
