I distinctly remember placing a half-finished “Big Bad n’ Bold Barbecue Bacon” calzone that I bought yesterday from the Gas ‘n Gulp on the corner, and I’ve been looking all over this fridge for it, and that bad boy’s gone, and since you’re the only other one in the house, I’d appreciate some answers, Becky!

Thant’s one cool cat!
mmm…I could go for a calzone right now…
That expression of uber annoyance is what I have when someone has taken the last treat I was saving. ☹️ Or when someone leaves a tablespoon of milk in the carton. ☹️
There are other fridge related crimes I could mention, that give me that expression, but I’m sure you peeps don’t have that much time…
I love the completely self-assured expression of annoyance at the human.
I have had this expression on my face this year, I wish I looked that cute too 🙂
Transition back to “normal” isn’t easy I must say. I know a lot of people were stressed by the pandemic, for me it was insignificant as compared to my other issues. Having to go back to the office and returning to a new normal is insanely stressful though.
Now that the lockdown has ended, I ran into a new problem.
During the pandemic, a lot of new houses were built in my neighbourhood, whole new streets were opened. Lots of young families came to live in the area.
The shops aren’t forced to open at 6 o’clock any more as the lockdown ended, so I don’t have any more chance to do the shopping early in the morning. I tried to buy bread, milk, cat litter and tortilla on Friday after work, on Saturday and today after work, I still don’t have the cat litter. Maybe tomorrow.
The Hungarian laws prohibit building huge shopping centres to protect small domestic shops, but a bigger shop or three would be badly needed here. 10k + people of my suburb need to do the shopping at 2 medium sized shops. (Or it is possible to drive to the town and sit in traffic jams for quite some time only to run into the same problem) I asked a shop assistant when to expect cat litter. She laughed at me and told me to shop while others are at work, yeah that’s what I cannot do… The whole town is growing so rapidly, infrastructure, service providers, shops etc cannot keep pace with the demand. I wonder what people can see in this place, I would move away in a heartbeat, if I had the chance.
Interesting story on transitions in your part of the world Ems. I don’t think this is on the same scale as what you have talked about, but a whole new neighborhood was developed in the past year and a half right next to ours.
Seems odd that so many people would move somewhere without adequate infrastructure or services. Why would this happen all at once?
That is one unhappy kitty! Becky as better have a good excuse for swiping that calzone!
