1921: Workers pause while constructing the Trans-Rabbitania Superhighway, following the route of the disused Earie Canal. The special surface of the new roadway will allow rabbits to reach speeds of 45 MPHH (miles per hippity-hop).

Happy 4th to the U.S. Cutetropolisen (?) you guys had better hop to it and celebrate but do it safely please.
“Earie” Canal. ๐
They can hippty-hop, at whatever speed, right to my house! ๐
Where can I find this Trans-Rabbitania Superhighway? I want to watch them hippity-hop at 45 MPHH. Iโll set up a refreshment stand of fresh greens, other tasty rabbit foods and water.
I’ll be right there with you!
The Trans-Rabbitania Superhighway ends up at Miami Beach, but make sure you turn left at Albuquerque.
I thought it was Pismo Beach…
It could be…
Such cutie pies! They can get the zoomies straight to my house. I have lots of luscious greens in my yard for them to nibble on. Happy 4th to those in the US.
Why didn’t I learn about this in school?! Our educations really are lacking. Learned all about the Erie Canal, but not the Earie Canal!
Sign my petition to get proper rabbit history back into the schools!
Critical Rabbit Theory
(and meaning no disrespect to Critical Race Theory, of which I approve wholeheartedly
I saw a funny exchange on a youtube video earlier; someone mentioned all the wingnuts complaining about CRT and someone replied “I’m not from the US, I don’t know what that is” and someone else said “that’s okay, most of the people talking about it don’t know what it is, either.”
Critical Rabbit Theory is much cuter. I might consider go back to college for that.
๐ Okay, thatโs funny!
Are both these gorgeous bebehs wildlings or domestics? The brown one looks wild but the cream seems like a housebun.
People, I may have overdone it today–FINALLY painted the ceiling and upper walls of my back entryway, over the stairs; installed my home monitoring system; carried boxes of books to the car to ship to a relative. Even after a warm bath with muscle-relaxing stuff in the water, I’m achey. Think I’ll spend the rest of the day sitting on my couch, with kitties and yarn to keep me company. Thank goodness for the holiday tomorrow!
Wow that’s a lot of work.
I heard such muscle-ache can only be cured by the simultaneous purring of multiple cats.
It did help a lot! Purr therapy is great, especially when you’re in a cuddle puddle for a nap.
I think I need the restorative purr therapy. Deb you inspired me to re-organize and partially clean the garage. I got most of my stuff taken care of but I left hubbyโs stuff in one section for him to deal with. I still have my patio stool re-cover the seats project to do and get the patio umbrella down. Well, tomorrow is another day. And now after grilling dinner, Iโm definitely feeling it in my back. Now to have cinnamon grilled white peaches with cherry chocolate amaretto ice cream. Mmmm mmm.
I had another successful week. If any of you wondered 2021 hasn’t ended yet.
On Tuesday I got stung by a bee between my toes. So my right foot became swollen. If you heard about any Bigfoot sightings from Hungary, no worries it was just me.
The bee totally didn’t care that I would have needed to go to my office to take part in the ceremonious closing of the fiscal month, had I been able to force my big foot into any sandals/other footwear I have ๐
Now that the car has been repaired, something had to go out of order again, this time it was my mixer in the middle of cooking, but at least that’s not something expensive.
Owee, hope your toesies feel better soon. ๐ฃ
Ems, OWWWWW. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
Treat yourself to a Kitchen Aid artisan mixer, if you can. It’s the model with the tiltable top. You’ll be glad you did.
Owie! Thereโs never a good spot to have a bee sting but a foot is particularly sensitive. Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you, it is a lot better now. I’m no longer Bigfoot, only Bigtoes!
Ems! What an awful place to get a bee sting! Not that there’s any nice places. And come to think of it…there are DEFINITELY worse places.
