I bet the neighbors are constantly calling in noise complaints on these two…
Yeah, they’re worried they don’t hear ANY noises! ๐คฃ
Snickering over here. I guess it must be hard for them to contain their enthusiasm. Just remember, it’s always the quiet ones you have to worry about.
This is brilliant!
It reminds me of my own short-lived marriage. We even played Scrabble sometimes! ๐
Last time I played scrabble was after Hurricane Sandy (which was in 2012). The power was out for a week and after a couple days I went to my parents’ house because mine got too cold and they at least have a fireplace (and a grill). We played Scrabble by oil lamp.
My parents lost power for days. Mine never even flickered. I literally played videogames through the storm. I said as much when my mother asked via text if I had power, because I didn’t know they’d lost it. Every so often in the coming days I’d get a text that was just “you suck.”
Mine started flickering around 2:30, was in and out for a few hours starting around 4:30 or so, then stayed out for a while a little after 7, came back for a bit, and then went out for good around 8. The storm was on a Monday; my parents got their power back on Friday and I got mine sometime Saturday evening; I went home Sunday (my parents went to church and stopped at my place to make sure the power was actually on).
Without power, all I have at home is hot water, and my windows are all on the same side of the place so my kitchen and bathroom are pretty dark even during the day. I showered with a flashlight hung between the shower curtain and the liner. By Wednesday I was too cold to stay there. Got a lot of reading done, when there was enough light. I didn’t go back to work until Thursday, because they had limited power (the state commandeered some of their generator fuel) so they only had the essential people come in and I was not one one of them (I was more the “reporting on what we did” person than the “making sure it gets done” person).
Legend has it that Stanley was once on the verge of frolicking in a public place, but Aviva talked him out of it. Then they went home, ate some supermarket brand wet food and had an early night.
ROFL!! Oooh wheee! I don’t think I can handle the excitement.
Slow down, people! This crazy whirlwind of fun is making me dizzy!
I’m worn out just thinking about it.
You rock Alice.
Reminds me of an old news segment on the tango in Finnland. Everybody dancing looked absolutely miserable. You couldnโt even tell it was the tango.
I remember that! It was a Morley Safer segment on 60 Minutes about Finland.
And there was much rejoicing
The Floingenboings look like they’ve Seen Some Things.
But not necessarily the same things. :V
Still, they’re both Disappointed in Them.
Why did no one mention their similarities. Thatโs the first thing I noticed. ๐
We were Distracted by all the other fun aspects. ๐
