My favorite piece was the bunny for trumpet. πŸŽΊπŸ‡

Glad Gertie was found. Poor baby.

Iguana and cats will have to wait till I get home.

Thanks Mike I saw Gertie’s story last night on the news here but they just showed the rescue and said she had been stuck between two walls for 5 days but they didn’t explain how she had fallen between the walls in the first place.

Iguana has a great dad, I can see why the cats might be jealous. Hopefully he takes the furry ones outside too, I suspect he does but it just wasn’t shown in the video. Wrestling kitties got me giggling. “Hey that looks like fun, I want in!” The music compositions are amazing and the tunes are so beautiful! I may have to check out how much he charges for one.

Can’t wait to listen to the sympawnies when I get home! Or to see the iguana story!

Sweet Gertie–so happy you’re back with your people.

Kitten wrassling is my favorite spectator sport. I can watch it for hours.

I think I’ve figured out why Beano gets antisocial sometimes. She’s not sick; she’s jealous. We’ve got a particular place and time that is just for us: cuddling on the couch while I watch TV and knit in the evenings. If I add Josephine to the mix, Beano will not sleep on the bed next to me that night.

Josephine, who is about 17, goes to the vet on Friday to see if we can make her more comfy. She’s got a bum hip and other aches. I’m reasonably certain she’ll come home–she’s still very into food–but it’s possible that I’ll have to make a hard decision. If you can keep us in your thoughts this week, I’d appreciate it.

      I’ve got everything crossable crossed.

I’ll keep my fingers and the Kitten’s paws crossed to let you have a few more years until the hard decision needs to be taken.

Has the neighbor/cat/kitten situation been resolved? I apologize if you’ve said and I missed it.

        • DEBG July 20, 2021 / 12:07 pm

Yes and no–it’s complicated. I’m still feeding them, and have let my neighbors know in case they (ever) decide to mow their back yard again. But yesterday I didn’t see the adult cats at all, and there was food left in the dish. We’ll see how things look when I get home for their supper.

Periodically, I’ve gone for a few days at a time without actually seeing kitties. I’m gone 11.5 hours on the days I go into the office.

Is it possible the mom(s) have decided to leave because the kittens are old enough? I don’t know enough about feral cat behavior!

What’s going on with your mom and kitten situation?

        • Emsthemonster July 20, 2021 / 3:32 pm

Not much luck with Mom. One step forward, three steps back. πŸ™
She comes for her food every day, but is still terribly afraid.

All digits, human and canine, crossed for you and Josephine.

      Keeping my fingers firmly crossed.

    The Sympawnies are FABULOUS!

I am in awe of Noah Oxman. The sympawnies are astonishing!

  7. DEBG July 20, 2021 / 12:07 pm

Thanks, everybody, for the good wishes. I expect to have Josephine for a while longer, as I said, but that doesn’t mean I’m not worried.

The sympawnies and the iguana were totally worth the wait! Love iguana dad’s approach and Buddy is so expressive–I could almost hear him purring with satisfaction.
