The guy trying to put the ferrets in the cage had me laughing like a loon.
I love the mama deer’s reaction to the baby crying, it’s so sweet that she is concerned about the young of another species, a mama is always mama.
I’d read that babies’ cries are tuned (or our brains are tuned to them, or both) to be basically impossible to ignore, genuinely distressing on an instinctual level. This apparently crosses species boundaries. I knew dogs understood, but…they’re dogs: being man’s best friend is kind of their thing.
I’ve also read that domestic cats have adapted so their meows tickle the same neurons. Which seems on brand, honestly.
Aw, poor bunny. Guess skateboarding isn’t for him.

All great links, Mike!♥️ You had me laughing aloud at the ferrets, and I suggest to the ferret-man that he turn the cage so the opening is facing up! “Harder than loading 8 baby ferrets into a cat carrier” will be my new non-advisability phrase.😄
I’ve seen the poor bun video before and am so grateful to the guy for taking the time to resue him💙. I can’t imagine how freaked out the bun was!

Klutzy cat is my spirit animal. I’m actually surprised I haven’t done that move but I’m known to trip over air and walk into invisible walls.
Deer video is pretty cute except for the semi-annoying mom, telling the deer my baby, not yours?? What does she expect, the deer to come running up on the deck, snatch the baby, and run back to the woods? Part of me also thinks the deer was just investigating the strange new noise.
Glow up pictures are amazing, sometimes it surprises me how big animals get from their baby stage. Ferret video gave me a good case of the giggles. And I agree turn the carrier with the door facing up and you’d be able to keep them all in. But then we wouldn’t have that funny video. Big thank you to the guy who rescued the bun bun.
