It’s moment-of-truth time as Mr. and Mrs. Swan take their five children down to the pond for their very first swim. One by one the little cygnets plop into the water — but the last one isn’t so sure. What follows may be the most suspenseful eight minutes you may endure today, as two patient parents coax the fluffy holdout to get in the pool. (via Murray C.)

Way to go fluff ball!! You did it!!
But it’s cold!
Those are some very patient swans!
Did anyone else cheer when he finally jumped in??
I loved the fourth one – head first!
Someone needed to goose the behind of that cygnet to get them into the water. And finally!!! Very patient parents and can image all the other babies are like, just come on. The water’s not that bad, you’ll enjoy it once you’re in.
I don’t blame the little guy. Cold water, no thank you.
You want to bet that as much as he didn’t want to get in, he won’t want to get out when it’s time and again he’ll make everybody wait for him.
Hee hee 😊
I love how the parents tapped each little baby on the head, once it got in the water. “Good job, Samuel!” “Excellent, Petunia!” …. (said in a whisper: “About bloody time, Gareth!”)
This comment made me laugh out loud !😆 Thanks—I needed that!👍🏼
Who here’s been watching on Hulu the show with Helen Mirren “When Nature Calls”? This sounds exactly like something she would say, especially about Gareth. And I laughed out loud at this comment, too.
Glad you all enjoyed it. I blame too much PBS, Acorn TV, BBC, theater, and novels. I see something like this and my brain immediately invents the backstory and the follow-up. Maybe I’ll start writing novels in my old age. 😉 And the Helen Mirren version of “Nature” is hilarious, in that dry British upper-crust curmudgeonly style!
I watched the first episode and started to watch the second, but for some reason I just couldn’t get into it. The camera shots are gorgeous, though.
They look like fuzzy chubby pears.
