Do you really think your veggies are safe from me? I know your every move, old man. When you’re planting seeds, I’m watching. When you’re pulling weeds, I’m watching. I’m always there, waiting for the perfect moment. So go ahead and put up your little fences and traps, but know this: When I want those carrots, those carrots are mine.

Someone’s pet bun is probably happy among the leaves. While the bun watches me, I’ll watch it.
Fellow peeps, you know how sad I’ve been and yet, not ready to adopt another bun or other pet. This past week, I’ve seen a wild bun under our bird feeders, which are up close and right outside our front window and door. Since the bun has been seen 3 times, I’ve bought inexpensive rabbit chow and thrown some on the ground. For some reason, where our house is, we don’t see many buns, so I’m very happy to be seeing this precious wild one. I hope it keeps returning. I’ve had a small water bowl out there for awhile, for the birds and other night critters that visit. God is looking down on me, I hope.
Is it possible to gradually domesticate it? Would you want to?
I suppose someone could but probably in the long run, not best for the bun. I was happy watching the bun, multiple birds, two squirrels and chipmunk, all trying to get the seed cake bar and suet. Tiny crumbs would drop onto the bun. With animals, it doesn’t take much to make me happy.
He knows you need a bunny, even if you are not ready to have one.
I’m so happy you’ve got a bunny visitor! Sounds like you and bunbun need each other.
So glad you’ve found a “bunny fix”.☺️
This is the perfect soundtrack for this story.
I found myself trying to compose a vegetable-themed parody of this song as I read the post. Was not successful.
🤣🤣
I love Bloom County!😂
He can come watch me anytime. Those ears look so soft. Made it to Denver ok, amazingly no idiots on the plane today so no videos going viral of a face off between a flight attendant and a passenger.
Reminds me of a fave episode at work. I was chatting to a coworker when we saw our boss race by, out the back door, muttering “Rabbits in my garden!” Her burst of speed was quite impressive as she raced to save her precious veggies and flowers.
(We have employee gardens at work.)
Looks like the bun has found his Field of Greens.
🤣🤣
Plant it and they will come.
