Since this morning’s links featured an operatic dog, it’s time to give the cats their turn at the microphone, as musical genius David Scott, leader of The Kiffness, adds a smooth soundtrack to a fierce feline to create “Big Billy.”
Although Scott borrows vocals from humans too, it’s his collaborations with the annoyed Alugalug Cat that have inspired musicians all over the world to lend their talents, creating a cross-cultural cat-caphony.
My new favourite song!
At first I wasn’t earring it but after listening and reading the subtitles I swear the cat is really saying “I am Big Billy, the biggest wet willy, I gonna go clearly”
Look up The McGurk Effect to understand why.
That’s so interesting -thanks, R&B’s Mom. I have seen something about this before but only in passing. I do know that, being short-sighted, I have often said to someone that I couldn’t hear them because I didn’t have my glasses on.
This is so fantastic!
Both tunes are terrific! The more people added in with the cat makes it just flow. That is terrific — it’s the ultimate evolution of Auto-Tune!
Theramin cat! (however you spell it)
It’s very interesting but at the same time kinda weird. Great music though.
I’d like to upvote this a few more times.
I am going to have the Big Billy song in my head all day,
Weirdest ear worm eva!
Simply fantastic. Projects like this make me believe in the Internet again, despite all the misinformation and general craziness.
Cipi is mad about this!!
