When meal times matter, cats make such a clatter
Humans think of cats as pets, but cats think of us as waiters…
And they expect four-star service every day…
So for anyone working as a cat’s wait staff, here’s a tip…
Invest in a quiet food bowl.
Suggested by Murray C.
My mom once put Pablo up on the footrest of the recliner with his food bowl, just because she wanted him to sit with her. The next night she was sitting in the chair and he came over like he wanted to sit with her, so she put him in her lap. He got down, went into the kitchen, and banged his bowl on the floor like this (it was not empty), then came back to the chair. She picked him up again, and he got down and did it again. That’s when she realized he wanted his dish on the chair again. He almost always got his dinner on the chair with one of us sitting with him after that.
Spoiled dog? Why do you say that?
What a racket! 😸
But yet rhythmic. Some parts remind me of Paul Simon’s “Rhythm of the Saints”.
In particular “The Obvious Child”.
DebG. 💕 Just caught up on the news from yesterday. Reading your words made my chest hurt. Even though I was expecting it.
Hugs to you.
Thanks so much. It’s a relief in a way, knowing that Josephine is no longer uncomfortable–worrying about her for the last month was actually a big burden.
My Maszat has also complained about the food service today. She feels she would be happier with more kibble and less wet food so I went to buy more kibble.
The kitten eats anything, lots of anything and grows quite rapidly. As he has big ears and paws I think he will be a big boy. Not sure how many brooms I will need to buy until then, he has torn apart 2 brooms this week and it is only Wednesday. I’m not sure what the brooms did to deserve this fate.
Cats are almost as opinionated as people! Has Maszat allowed petpets yet?
I’m training “my” ferals to eat near me. It’s actually going well! Can’t touch them, but they’re getting more relaxed when I’m outside with them.
No petpets yet, but she has taken part in the wand chasing game!

The fluffy orange kitty has quite the catitude. 😂 What nerve her hoomans have, ignoring her like that!
It’s the same cat in videos 1 and 3, right? Same bowl, same cat, same INATTENTIVE hoomins!
I’m assuming that the woman asking stupid questions about refills is THE SUSAN
One of my cats just grabs onto the protective grille on the front door with his claws and rattles the whole door back and forth until I get the message. If I don’t, he throws in a few plaintive meows that get the dogs barking like mad so I just cannot ignore him any more. Why do we love any of them? 😉
Some sort of stockholm syndrome/co-dependency/mind control-cult thing.
And here I thought the yowls of Little Miss Maine Coon at 4:30am were annoying…
