Prayers, purrs and borks to your well-being, Mike!
Like the rest of us Cutetropolitans here, I wish you the very best and a speedy recovery. Thankfully, most things that can make you really dizzy are readily treatable (ear infection, benign vertigo, dehydration), so I hope you find it is one of these and that you are reading these messages of support from your home (or that you will be soon).
Get well soon! The world needs you! ๐
I had labyrinthitis when I was in college and it just hit me out of nowhere. I was fine and then all of a sudden I thought I was going to fall out of my chair. Not fun. (I also missed the last day of classes before finals because of it.)
Exactly. The same thing happened to me in college and it was really scary. I do get benign vertigo at times and sinusitis can make my inner ears go wonky so that I am really dizzy. All a big pain in the butt, but not dangerous unless driving or using stairs while things are at their worst. My hope is our friend Mike has a similarly good diagnosis.
I was actually at the computer lab to do something for a class. I put my stuff down at a desk, signed in at the front of the room, sat down, and suddenly everything started spinning. I went to the bathroom because I felt like I would be sick (luckily I wasn’t), and decided I couldn’t stay. I debated calling campus security but I thought I could walk across the field to my dorm. I made it about halfway before I started feeling sick again, so I went to the bathroom in another dorm that was closer (plus my friend lived on that hall). After the nausea passed, I stumbled into my friend’s room in tears. Luckily she was the RA so she at least knew who to call. Campus security came over and called the health center’s on-call nurse, who said it sounded like an inner ear infection and told me to get some rest and come in to see the doctor in the morning. So security drove me back to my dorm (which was longer than walking because of the one-way street through campus…) and I crawled into bed and called my mommy.
My ears get wonky sometimes; it usually just throws me off balance a bit but doesn’t make me actually dizzy. I did get an ear infection a few years ago (which came on more slowly) that had me out of work for a couple days and unable to drive. I think I prefer the kind of ear infection that feels like you’re being stabbed in the eardrum to the dizzy-making kind.
OMG, what a nightmare.
And I totally agree with the preference for the ice picks in the ear feeling over dizziness and losing one’s lunch.
Oh no, hope you’re out quick. Lots of positive thoughts headed your way.
So sorry to hear this, Mike. Please take care of yourself and get well quick.
Feel better soon Mike. And let us know if thereโs anything we can do for you.
Wishing you a speedy recovery from a hopefully non-serious complaint. Take care, and let the hospital help you as much as possible.
No apologies needed! We are all thinking of/praying for you. We all want you to get wellโค
Uh oh! Feel better soon! And take care of yourself, all of us Cuteropolitans will be waiting here whenever you get back. Cricket sends head bonks and purrs.
I hope you are feeling better. I lurk and don’t contribute, but I love our little corner of internet weirdness. This group of positive people will send enough positive goodwill to overcome any illness.
Be well and we are sending internet hugs your way.
Wishing you a speedy diagnosis and recovery. There are a bunch of not too serious conditions that can cause dizziness. One is BPPV, which stands for Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, which isn’t uncommon in folks of a certain age. It’s an ear thing. So fingers crossed it’s something minor and treatable. Take care! ๐๐๐ฉ๐โโฌ
Sending hugs, purrs and tail wags.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery and quick return to normally-scheduled snorgles from your Furry Friends.
Nikolai Devinovich and Ekaterina Velikaya send their most restorative chirps and purrs.
Mz Cleo is yowling across the ether for you hop outta there and back into here. (Or maybe she just wants her canned fud snack…) Uncle Belou is sacked out, as usual, although I’m certain he is sending cat vibes your way!
Good luck for a speedy recovery!!! We love you Mike!
So sorry and worried. God bless you, be well. ๐
Get better, get better, GET BETTER!!! Pass all your tests and get the heck out of there ASAP — the world needs you!
I’m really worried. I hope Mike is okay. Radio silence frightens me.
Iโm trying not to worry yet. Tests donโt necessarily have immediate results? If we donโt hear from him at all today, my plan is to panic
Also trying not to worry yet, just keep sending good thoughts and happy purrs from my babies.
Plus I miss all of you guys!
I know. ๐ฅ
And right there with you R and B’s mom.
Hope it is nothing serious, Mike!
I will slay many enemies in your name.
I hope you feel better. Take care of yourself and if there’s anything we can do to help, let us know.
I keep checking in, hoping for a good news update. I really hope you’re doing okay, Mike. Your Cutetropolis family is here to support you.
