An eager baby beaver wants to branch out beyond the lodge, but the rest of the family thinks the kid is gnawing off more than it can chew. Again and again, the slippery baby gets away, only to be carried back home like a stack of cordwood. (via Andrew Y.)

Aww…they kinda look like otters in the water…
I was just thinking that. Same baby floof.
Baby is adorable. I particularly like when it’s picked up and is kicking its feet and squealing in an outraged tone – PUT ME DOWN!!!!
Turn your back for just 2 seconds. TWO seconds and he’s doing something he’s not supposed to be. Every parent/babysitter can relate. I was cry laughing when he was kicking his feet and having his little tantrum when brought back. Too funny and too cute!
I don’t give a dam what you think! I wanna swim!!
A persistent little nunchkin!!! And so adorable!!
Cannot wait to see this at home!
His little feet kicking in outrage at being carried back home, I am ded!
I couldn’t stop laughing at this determined baby. I can understand the frustration the beaver family of having to go and bring the baby back. Especially of the mother, carrying a squealing, kicking baby back, again. Her scolding this time seemed to work.
“But Mom, it’s not dark yet! You said I could stay out & swim till the sun went down! That’s not fair!”
First, I did not know beavers carry stuff with their front legs, waddling along on their back legs in what does not look like a comfortable gait. Second, usually it’s otters dragging their kids INTO the water. Beavers want to keep their kids OUT. Kids never want to be where you want them to be.
This may be the best thing we’ll ever see on the Internet. OMG sulky baby beaver was too cute for words!
“It is a good family.’ Yes. Yes, it is.
Now get that little baby beaver butt over here so I can squoosh it! Enh! Enh! Enh!
Baby wombats, step aside. Beavers retrieving baby and waddling back to safe ground wins the internet.
