The elephants in the care of Elephant Nature Park in Thailand are always happy to greet new arrivals. This time they’re rushing to welcome Bunma, an elephant who was kept in chains, and her baby Chaba.
While the grown-ups get to know each other, Chaba has a happy surprise — a baby elephant named PyiMai who’s just about the same size!
Later, Chaba explores the new surroundings and finds a tub of water to play in.

Have to save the videos for after work, but I already love them. Elephants being happy! Hurrah!
Me, too. I love a happy baby heffalump.
It’s waaaaaaaay too early for someone to be cutting onions.
Baby falls backward out of the tub a lot like the actions of pandas!
Oh my goodness how very dear!
We so need a play date between those two babies.
I saw the video of Chaba in the tub yesterday, too funny. And how sweet are the two babies meeting each other, just about melted my heart.
Rescued elephants! So wonderful! I love how interested and friendly the resident elephants and the rescued elephants were with each other. The baby’s excited happiness in the tub of water induced happy tears.
Awwwww. My brain is mush now. And the baby ellie in the tub, too cute!! Reminds me of a toddler smacking water with their hand (her trunk), and kinda wondering how do these appendages work. Then falling out of tub gave me the giggles.
this made me so very happy!
I’ve often thought that a trunk would come in handy. Now I’m convinced.
Also, elephants totally rock. If I could be any animal, I think I’d choose to be a elephant.
