It’s Miri’s Birthday, Maru!

Although the exact birth date of Kitten Miri isn’t known, Sept. 10 has been selected as the “official” date, which brings us to a wistful realization: We no longer can refer to her as “Kitten Miri” — from now on, she is “One-Year-Old Kitten Miri.” And what an eventful year it was, as we see in this video retrospective.

And now it’s time for the birthday party! Let the festivities commence! (As soon as Uncle Maru and Aunt Hana wake up from their naps, that is.)

It may be Kitten Miri’s birthday, but that doesn’t stop Uncle Maru from mercilessly retaliating when she tries to trap him in the box.

Rain or shine, Maru needs his daily snack of grass, so on this particularly rainy day, he puts on his raincoat and braves the elements.

Only Maru-io can use the magic pipe that transports him around the house.

Yes they grow up too fast. But Miri will always look like a kitten! What a sweetie.
I love the way her “outfit” grew with her lol.😸😸

Happy Birthday, Kitten Miri! How has it been a year already?!

Maru’s paw sticking up out of the box: “Did someone say ‘birthday cake’?”.

I wish there was a way to see what kittens are thinking of when they start playing.

I like how everyone gets a chance to wear the presents (even if Hana wants to be grumpy about it).
