Animal researchers have theorized about the existence of the blep spot, a place on the back of many cats that causes them to blep uncontrollably, a reaction known as “the blep response.”

George has that spot too! He doesn’t blep, but he sticks his butt in the air. Not as cute, but I’ll take it.
Penny has one under her chin. I need to get my camera and get a pic. She’s so hard to catch doing actual cute stuff!
I canβt really see in the video but Iβm guessing the spot is on the spine just above the tail. One of my sisterβs cats flings herself down on her side and starts moving around in a lascivious manner, while giving me a smoldering look over her shoulder when I scratch that spot.
That smoldering look is irresistible, isn’t it?
Totally. Every time I visit my sister I get right into it with Nala. I think weβre having an affair

At this point in my life, having an affair with a cat sounds pretty good.
So the blep is in the butt?
Along with the boogie. It’s the same button.
I was singing it to the tune of Groove is in the Heart…
This just got weird…
Now I will never get βbutt bleppingβ out of my mind.
And donβt even THINK of an emoji for that.
Hee hee hee.
How are you feeling today, Duckie?
A bit better.
Docβs reducing some of the meds, but weβre still waiting for biopsy results.
Still hurts like #&@*#β¬Β₯£§!
