Look at them — the bourgeois fools. Thumbing through rack after rack of commercialized, focus-grouped “product” to stuff into their Live-Laugh-Love tote bags, while I can’t even give away my latest screed, Canine Conspiracy: Why Dirty Dogs Oppress Cool Cats.

I really want a full list of all the categories this store has…
Though I find it hard to believe a cat belongs in the category of Unoppressive Non-Imperialist…
No lowly Capitalist Running Dog, kitty here in fact belongs to an internet overlord class that weaponize their cuteness to anesthetize the masses, in doing so justifies and perpetuate the status quo.
It’s time for us proletariats to seize their means of production. Revolution is never wrong, cat-knapping always justified !!
All bookshops need a resident cat to keep an eye on things.
Unoppressive Non-Imperialist Bargain Books was my local bookshop when I lived in the West Village! I *loved* that store; it was run by a wonderful family and I bought many a book there—mostly remaindered, so you couldn’t beat the prices. If they had a cat there when I lived downtown, I never saw it. (You know I’d have remembered.)
That is quite the pretty kitty.
I would look in that book section. Not just because of that cute cat. But it helps.
It’s not a section—it’s the name of the store!
I miss my old book shop, Claude the owner had boxes in the back where he would put books he knew his regular clients wanted or would like so that when we would arrive on Fridays he would give us our boxes and it was like getting to open Christmas presents. Except we had to pay to keep the presents LOL!!
