It’s a Dog’s Life

As his private jet makes its descent, ultra-billionaire J. Woofington Supperdish gazes out the window at the people below, specks of life upon an indifferent world. At his command, millions will be plunged into poverty, riddled with disease, engulfed with pollution. He wonders: Should the fate of so many rest in the paws of just one dog? Yes, he decides.

Glad that’s settled. Time to buy some more rockets. (Imgur)

This is great and some of the best political commentary I’ve read. J. Woofington Supperdish is the name I will use from now on for both Sinema andManchin.

Supperdish just sounds so high class.

    • Debg October 29, 2021 / 2:51 pm

      Yep, me too.

This one is hitting a little too close to the real world we live in, not sure if I should laugh or cry.

    • Benvolio October 29, 2021 / 3:02 pm

Agreed. If dogs ruled, the world would be a much better place.

Uh huh. You got that right. ☹️😁☹️😁

This ultra billionaire, J. Woofington Supperdish is a Goldie. So I can only imagine him using his clout and money for the good of dog kingdoms and hoomin kind.

Threadjack warning! Just got this Liz Climo cartoon in my slothtober newsletter:

Okay, it won’t paste. Allein, how do you share so much wonderful stuff with us?

    • allein 🐾 October 29, 2021 / 3:10 pm

If it’s on a web page I right click on the image and open image in a new tab and look at the URL. If it ends in .jpg or .png or .gif you can just paste the URL in your comment and it will embed as an image. Also the URL has to be on its own line with no spaces after it.

If it’s something on facebook or in an email or something I’ll right click and ‘search google for image’ and go from there (facebook doesn’t give you the right kind of image url).

Or if it’s a particular cartoonist sometimes I just go to their instagram or twitter and see if it’s there because those links will embed as well.

Went to Liz Climo and there was this sloth cartoon…

        Awww, love this!!!

Can’t find the particular sloth Halloween cartoon on her instagram page. Otherwise, your tips are excellent! And this one is very cute too.

Describe it for us! I found a few featuring the sloth.

At first I could only find a facebook link. The image url is 10,395 characters long…

Then I found a twitter image link.

I’m reading Allein’s instructions and what is going through my head is the Far Side comic about what the owner is saying and what the dog hears. Blah blah blah Fluffy. Blah blah Fluffy. Blah blah blah blah Fluffy.

        • Dulcie October 29, 2021 / 10:50 pm

Just to clarify Allein…its not your instruction post! Its the computer tech language. Whoosh… typically right over my head!!

          • allein 🐾 October 29, 2021 / 11:04 pm

lol…my instructions also assume the reader is using a PC. “Right-click” doesn’t mean anything on mobile, but I rarely post from my phone or tablet.

          • ^oo^ October 30, 2021 / 12:14 pm

Exactly! I needed help with my Square Reader and the tech was trying to help but I couldn’t grasp what she was saying. I just wanted to either cry or throw the damn thing across the road- or both.

Hello my beloved Cutetropolitans. I’m still alive, I’m just having a rough patch and tired of my very own misery. I guess some of you know the feeling that whatever you touch goes belly up. I hope to be back soon because I miss all of you.

    • Catwhisperer October 29, 2021 / 3:19 pm

Look at it this way – every dog, cat, bunny, wombat, quokka (you get the idea) will go belly up so you can huff their fluff!!!

Hope things improve for you soon.

      • Emsthemonster October 29, 2021 / 4:57 pm

Oh I love your way of thinking, Catwhisperer. Thank you.

    • debg October 29, 2021 / 5:11 pm

Ems, I hope you’re getting some professional help–if you’re going through depression, it’s ghastly (ask me how I know).

You know we’d all let you climb onto our backs like the sloth above, but that may not be enough. We miss you. Hugs and kitty purrs.

      • Emsthemonster October 29, 2021 / 6:20 pm

Thankfully, it is not depression. Life just presents me a whole series of unexpected problems, but not with the time to solve them. All I need is a little time for myself, just to be able to have some good sleep, exercises and something fun like playing with the cats and all will be back to normal. The long weekend ahead will help, I hope.

I love Liz Climo and also the sloth parallel, I’m almost as fast as a sloth now 🙂
Thanks for the ride, it is going to be enough.

  6. Dulcie October 29, 2021 / 6:38 pm

I had been wondering if I had just missed your posts Ems. Thanks for checking in even through this rough patch.
I think, like DebG says…”ask me how I know” could pertain to a few of us here, for sure me, so we understand. Hugs 💕

Ohhh. Just recline the seat already. ( 😉 )
