Cat elevator, corgi tetherball, powerful tangerines, and why did the capybara cross the road?

And finally: Why Did the Capybara Cross the Road?
Because it was cute! Note: video has no sound. (via Murray C.)
The tangerine force field is a great idea. Using citrus fruit to keep cats away from things would work with a lot of cats since I think cats generally hate citrus. Minkette once joined me on the couch to get some of what I was eating. When she discovered it was an orange, she looked at me with an expression of astonished disgust and jumped off the couch.
omg this was my morning commute! Except it was wild turkeys on a residential road. Had to be about a dozen of ’em.
Mike, your commentary on the linkies is making my sides hurt from laughing.
I want to live in a place where capybaras routinely stop traffic. It’s like the elk in Estes Park, Colorado, except much smaller!
Looking forward to corgi tetherball and the cat elevator story.
Such a great guy to build his cat his own elevator. Frodo (love that name too!) seems to take it all in stride – Of course I deserve an elevator. Corgis and tetherball give new meaning to the term going in circles. They look like they’re having so much fun. Christmas tree force field cracked me up, who knew tangerines could be so powerful. If I put up a tree this year I might have to see if it works on the 2 in my house. Cappys are so polite, wait til theres a break in traffic before going.
Capybaras seem so sensible and mature I’m slightly disappointed that they didn’t use the crossing…
Those capybaras are much more safety conscious than the suicidal squirrel that ran in front of my car this morning, I had to slam the break not to run him over!
I passed a squirrel on my way to work that was clearly not so lucky, probably not too long before I came by. 🙁
The turkeys certainly didn’t look both ways before crossing, either.
I wish my idiot neighbors and their kids had as much sense as the capybaras.
