I would bring back the old drawn and quartered punishment for the people who left that poor dog locked in the attic to starve.

I can almost hear the cat at the end thinking “OK I’ll open both blinds, she’ll be busy closing one while I look out the other”

‘…drawn and quartered punishment’…you mean *after* the perpetrator(s) have been locked in an attic to starve in terror, until they look as emaciated as that sweet dog, right?

      Seconded.
      All in favor?
      (gavel sound)
      So ordered.

      :ahem:

In other news, the dog show was great, except there were so many commercials. Loved the dogs lying around in the show ring, getting belly rubs, waiting their turn to be judged. They *all* be chillin’…

I enjoyed the dog show except for the cropped ears and docked tails. The forbidding of these barbaric practices for the sake of “breed conformation” is long overdue. IMO the AKC’s defense of these procedures (when not medically warranted) is a disgusting piece of sophistry.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

I thought that Kuvasz was gorgeous.

        “All in favor” indeed!!
How could you not know you locked him in the attic! Such a loving pup! Give the dude a *chance* if you don’t want him—take him to a shelter at least! Some people don’t deserve to have a decent life, I tell ya.😡

Georgiana and Beth…I couldn’t have said it better. It absolutely breaks my heart to hear stories like this. And I get SO angry!! 😥

    LOVE that cat-with-the-blinds video! It’s just so…CAT!😂

And there are worse ways to be awakened by a cat. Seriously.

I concur with court’s ruling against Remi’s perpetrator. And even that is too lenient in my opinion. Saw red reading that story but so thrilled she’s found her family now.

Some pet parents have way too much time and/or money. I’ve loved all my pets but wow.

Didn’t get a chance to chime in yesterday with my Thanksgiving wishes and how grateful I am to Mike and the little community we have here. Spent my Thanksgiving at Disneyland and after stuffing my face at dinner, I was just done in. Barely finished reading all the posts/comments from yesterday and I was snoozing on the couch. Back to Disney for another fun filled day then we’ll head home tomorrow.

I can’t concur with drawing and quartering, though I wholly understand the impulse. It’s just that I subscribe to the belief that an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. But I certainly agree that *something* should be done to make that lovely pup’s former owner(s) sit up and take notice. I say they be forced to listen to The Shaggs’ Philosophy of the World on an endless loop.

Had to look that up. Yeah, that’s a good punishment!

I hope you didn’t listen to it!

Remi has the sweetest face. I want to believe she found her way up there and got trapped, and not that someone was cruel enough to lock her in there on purpose.
