Aw, what a brave pup! I hope he got extra snuggles after that!
Leroy and Poppy have the sweetest faces.
Very brave puppers. Looks like me getting any kind of needle in my body, including blood tests.
Maybe brave doggo thought he was going to get his temperature taken?
Now I want a groundhog to cuddle with!
Omg poor doggo, but gotta admit his face made me LOL!
Do you see the fox? The fox is wearing a box. Do you see the man? The man will help if he can. Run man, run. Catch the fox in a box. Pull, pull off his box. Wheee! The fox is free! Run fox run. But thank the nice man for what he has done.
Bravo!!!! Reminds me of the old children’s primer.
Leroy, the groundhog and Gizmo are intensely adorable, and thank you to the humans who saved them
Such heartwarming stories. Good way to start the day considering the rest of the day has gone to hell in a hand basket. Such a stereotypical Monday after a long holiday. Get to work and my computer won’t connect to our internet. So trying to keep up with emails on my phone while waiting for our IT people to help me out. Day can only get better.
Has anyone heard from Alice at the Shortcakery?? I’ve seen the really bad storms in the UK, especially up near York and that’s where I thought she lived. They even had about 60 people stranded at a pub after a Friday night concert. If you’re going to be stranded, I think that’s the best place to be.
Yes it would be for many people for sure, and I would be fine with it. But my druthers would be a library lol. 😁
Ditto.
Lock me in a library and I’d be totally thrilled. Probably wouldn’t want to come out when everything got unstuck. Only downside would be the lack of food.
I love books but there’s no food in the library so it i’m going to be stuck 3 days somewhere I’d prefer the pub.
And the article I read said they played pub quiz to pass the time, I love those.
My library used to have a little snack bar/cart thing in the lobby…don’t know if it’s still there (maybe not with the current situation…). I think there are a few vending machines as well.
She seemed to be ok on the weekend open thread. Except for her father’s condition.
I’m happy to report that York got off lightly with strong winds and a light sprinkling of snow – no structural damage or loss of power.
Mixed Monday moods.
There are three specific places on the foot situation: two lesions and an affected ankle bone. The ankle bone is aching. The smaller lesion is shrilling with pain. The bigger lesion is itching. I am sitting in my chair, digging my nails into the arms, trying desperately to NOT rip the bandage off and deal with the three separate issues. I’m also laughing, because the itching is a fantastic sign.
More flooding. More sick people (hubby got called into work at five this morning). I’m terrified about that new Omicron virus.
Christmas shopping done.
Brave puppers, come to me. I fully sympathize with you.
Poor Duckie, when it rains it pours, literally and figuratively. Hopefully everything starts looking up soon. Sometimes what helps is if you scratch a different spot than the one that’s itching, kinda confuses the brain and might give some relief. And on a positve note, huzzah for you getting all your shopping done. You’re ahead of so many people.
Hugs, Duckie. We’re all here with you.
I’m in love with all the rescues, especially Stewie the groundhog. What a cutie!
