Maru, Renaissance Cat

Maru, as we know, is a brilliant and dedicated visual artist. His ongoing project, The Impermanence of Cardboard, is a rumination on how Materialism, symbolized here by the cardboard box, is devoured by the very hungers that it inspires.

And now Maru adds another feather to his creative cap by appearing in a new picture book with Hana and, for the first time, kitten Miri.

The subjects of the new book line up for a profile. Also a front view, a side view, and a back view.

Food Fight

Maru and Miri battle in the Udon Bowl. The winner of this match will go on to compete in the Ramen Bowl.

    >:3 Masterpiece by Maru!
Think I will have to treat myself and buy that book >:3
[For anyone else that may be interested, I just buy through Amazon Japan, shipping is not too expensive, and things ship REALLY fast, at least that’s been my experience so far – faster than Amazon CA and US imo. Eg. I placed a previous order Aug 31, received it Sept 3 (and that’s from Japan to Canada)]

I’d love to know what Mugo does to keep all 3 sitting together like that. LOL. 😂 😻
