oh goodness! I didn’t know there was a cat herding day… I guess I took the day off for a reason! I don’t remember if I’ve shared here that, in addition to my 7 classes I am now form teacher for an increasingly difficult group of 13-14 year olds. I frequently refer to my duties as “herding cats”. I am currently just marking time til December 22 and a well-deserved and necessary Christmas Break (read: 12 hr work days uninterrupted by teaching classes). Any other teachers out there feel my pain?
I learned about it last week; it was included in the holiday celebrations at work (it’s a warehouse; there’s a lot going on…). They put up a board to post your pet pictures (not restricted to just cats) near the IT fireplace (they put it up every year). I’m home today, though, so I haven’t put one up.
(FTR, I did not submit any of the links; just told Mike about the day.)
I remember the pain, vividly. Hope things improve. You can hang on until next week.
Hi there N Fritz!
Good luck, ouch, with the marking, ouch!
Celebrating the important holidays!
Cinnamon and Cardamom are adorable! Now I want some chai tea…
Don’t miss the meerkats’ advent calendar (linked in the tiger story). Okay, they’re not technically cats but it sounds like it.

Alexa told me about Cat Herders Day. Love Mike’s framing of the links today even more than usual. Reminded me of a beloved cat commercial from years back:
Meerkats are too cats! (at least in name)
Fabulous commercial! Thanks for posting.
Cinnamon and Cardamom are almost unbearably cute. Hope they find the perfect home.
omg, aren’t they? and quite the purring machines.
Really! Amazingly cute!
Sarge in her backpack! What a cutiepie, and how wonderful that her hoomins can let her go on field trips!
The ZSL candy canes for tigers and advent calendar for meerkats are spectacular. I love that zoo so much–used to go there every time I went to London.
Awesome set of links today. The Spice Kittens are very tempting, might be time to think about a road trip and adopt them. Wowza on the mighty kitten hunter, not sure I could deal with that much cat-ness. I’m in love with Sarge, so happy she has amazing people to make sure she’s living her best life even with her special needs.
Definitely needed a boost of the cute after my morning so far. And it’s only 8 am!! Had to go and unclog a drain on the patio. Got a quick wake-up once my feet hit that really cold water, then they got soaked so had to change out shoes. I know, shoulda worn my boots. Came into work and we’re having issues with our log-in authentication program so can’t get into email or most of our databases. Guess it’s time to have some breakfast and hope it resolves quickly.
Mega and Licia are amazing. To have the patience and attentiveness to play fight with her cat like that. The cat obviously loves it, and her.
Licia is a wonderfully patient woman and she knows what her crazy marmie wants.
